Bijin-ga

My new project explores the harmonious contradiction between the self-control we display in public and the freedom we allow ourselves in private.

By revisiting Japanese Bijin-ga—icons of impeccability, elegance, and composure—and introducing unlikely elements such as contemporary technologies and toys, the result becomes unexpectedly pop.

Throughout my artistic journey, I’ve worked with all kinds of tools, from ink pens to Photoshop, from colored pencils to Bézier curves. This time, I’ve added a pinch of AI as well.
